Maricel Giacomini und Horacio Pebete Godoy zählen zu den bekanntesten Tangolehrern weltweit. Seit über 25 Jahren leitet Horacio nicht nur die größte Tango Tanzschule von Buenos Aires, sondern organisiert auch die Kultmilonga „La Viruta“ in Bueonos Aires. Er hat an über 100 Festivals in 42 Ländern teilgenommen und auf über 5000 Milongas, darunter die besten in Buenos Aires, als DJ aufgelegt. Der virtuose Tänzer und studierte Tango-Historiker (Universidad del Tango und Academia Nacional Del Tango) produziert derzeit seine dritte Tango CD (nach Ojos de Tango und Esteban Morgado).

Maricel Giacomini & Horacio Pebete Godoy

Maricel Giacomini and Horacio Pebete Godoy are among the best-known tango teachers worldwide. For more than 25 years, Horacio has not only been running the largest tango dance school in Buenos Aires, but also organizes the cult milonga “La Viruta” in Bueonos Aires. He has participated in over 100 festivals in 42 countries and DJ’d at over 5000 milongas, including the best in Buenos Aires. The virtuoso dancer and studied tango historian (Universidad del Tango and Academia Nacional Del Tango) is currently producing his third tango CD (after Ojos de Tango and Esteban Morgado).

Workshop content 

Maricel Giacomini & Horacio Pebete Godoy are known for their extraordinary musicality. But tango history and its influence on the development of the dance also play an important role in Horacio’s and Maricel’s teaching. Topics we will work on during the weekend:

• Musicality links (part 1 / 2 / 3)
• Technique height levels for a three-dimensional dance
• The 4 elements, water, earth, fire, air
• D’Arienzo revolution of the golden period 1935-1939
• Milonga
