Second Christmas Day: Christmas Milonga with a live performance

This year, Tipo Tango is once again organising a special, extra-long Christmas edition of the Milonga with live performances on Second Christmasday.

This time, Tango A Quartett will treat us to beautiful danceable tango music during two performances. The first performance will take place at 7.30 p.m., so be sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss it. The second performance will take place at 9 p.m. Both performances will last 30-40 minutes each.

The Milonga starts at 5 p.m. When we are not dancing to the live music, the popular DJ Peter Corvo will be playing the most beautiful tango songs, so we can stay on the dance floor until closing time at midnight.

Tango A Quartett, a tango ensemble from Aachen that specialises in performing traditional tangos, tango nuevo and its own original compositions. The quartet impressively showcases the rich palette of tango music, sparkling rhythms, passion and power, lightness and elegance, melancholy and longing. With respect for tradition and an extensive repertoire, the musicians strive to introduce the audience and dancers to the music of composers such as Julio De Caro, Carlos Di Sarli, Juan D’Arienzo, Julián Plaza, Osvaldo Pugliese, Eduardo Rovira, Astor Piazzolla and many others.
The name of the quartet subtly refers to the city where the musicians first met and where the ensemble was born in the tango clubs. They all have a solid musical education and a deep passion for tango. They formed a quartet with violin (Oksana Pinchuk), bandoneon (Savva Zihs), piano (Anvar Akbari) and double bass (Andrii Stikalenko) to bring music from all periods of tango history to life. Through their performances at festivals and milongas in Germany and abroad, they inspire love and interest in this music and invite the audience to discover and experience the world of tango in all its facets.
