Tango in Darmstadt

The tango scene in Darmstadt offers a manageable but regular selection of events throughout the week. On Tuesdays there are several options with classes and a Práctica, on Thursdays a Práctica takes place, and on weekends Milongas invite you to dance. There is also a class for beginners on Fridays.

This week

This week shows the usual rhythm of Darmstadt's tango scene. On Friday, Leonardo Mosqueda and Carina Lucca, a professional dance couple from Argentina, teach the tango class for beginners and returners at the Capilla del Centro Comunitario Internacional. Otherwise, the regular events are on the schedule: On Tuesday, classes take place at Tanzschule Bäulke and the Offene Tango-Practica at the Bessunger Knabenschule Darmstadt, and on Thursday there is the Práctica at the Bessunger Knabenschule.

Those who are new to Darmstadt or visiting the city will find a good starting point especially on Tuesday: The Offene Tango-Practica at the Bessunger Knabenschule Darmstadt from 7 pm offers an opportunity for free dancing and trying out. On Friday, beginners and returners without prior knowledge or a regular dance partner can join the class with Leonardo Mosqueda and Carina Lucca. Darmstadt is a city of science in the Rhine-Main area and as a regional center it is well connected, with venues distributed across the city.
