Tango in Hanover
26 events this week · ✓ 0 26 corroborated 0 hints
The tango scene in Hanover offers opportunities to dance and learn on almost every day of the week. The Tangowerkstatt Hannover is the central hub with classes from Monday to Friday, along with offerings at the Stadtteilzentrum Lister Turm and the Kulturzentrum Hölderlin. In addition to a broad class program for all levels, there are regular Prácticas and Milongas, including the Monday AfterWork Milonga and the weekly Milonga on Saturday.
This week
This week features the regular program with classes and practice evenings. On Saturday at 8 pm, the El Colectivo Milonga takes place at the Tangowerkstatt Hannover. On Wednesday at 6:15 pm, there is a special offering: Leading Tanguera – leading for female dancers with Birte Raap at the Tangowerkstatt Hannover. For those who would like to dance along, there are several Prácticas to choose from: the TangoPraktika on Wednesday at 4:30 pm and the laboratorio on Thursday at 8:45 pm, both at the Tangowerkstatt Hannover.
Those who are new to Hanover or visiting the city will find entry opportunities on several evenings. The Tangowerkstatt Hannover offers a trial class in Tango Argentino on Wednesdays at 7 pm. For your first dance experience, we recommend the Milonga on Saturday evening at 8 pm at the Tangowerkstatt Hannover or the Monday AfterWork Milonga at 6 pm. Besides the Tangowerkstatt, the Stadtteilzentrum Lister Turm and the Kulturzentrum Hölderlin are important addresses for classes. Hanover is easily accessible by public transport and centrally located as the capital of Lower Saxony.
