Creating a series
In the form under When you choose the repetition: every week, every two weeks, monthly on this weekday (every 2nd Saturday) or on the last such weekday. “Repeat until” stays empty for a series without end; the dates are created a year ahead and topped up every night.
In My events a series appears as one row with the number of coming dates. Readers of the list can choose “Show series once”.
Changing something
Every change to a date of a series asks: this date only or this and all following? That is how you move a single milonga because of a holiday without touching the series – or change the time for all from next month on. The repetition rule itself is fixed once created; only “Repeat until” can change. For another rule, create a new series and end the old one.
Call off and Delete ask the same: this date only, or this and all following.
Once a quarter: still right?
A series nobody touched for half a year gets a mail – at most one per organizer and quarter – with three links per series:
- Still right – one click, done, no sign-in needed.
- Something has changed – leads to the sign-in and straight into the event for editing.
- Does not take place any more – all coming dates are called off.
The links are valid for 30 days. So the calendar stays current without you having to think of it.
